Nonconforming by use

A use of land or use of a building or structure which is in nonconformance with the requirements of this ordinance pertaining to use is nonconforming by use.

Existence by variance or special use permit. A nonconforming building, structure, sign, or parcel of land or the use thereof, which exists by virtue of a variance or special use permit shall be considered a nonconforming use and shall acquire the rights of this section.
