Solar canopy

  • a. Solar canopies shall only be erected above a paved or permeable parking area. Loose gravel is not considered a permeable paving surface. The solar canopy and its associated paved areas shall meet all state and local stormwater requirements.

  • b. Setbacks for solar canopies shall be as described in in article V, section 1 minimum lot dimensions and setbacks and may be altered by dimensional variance.

  • c. Solar canopy SES shall be reviewed and permitted under Article VII, Major Land Development or Subdivision, and where necessary Article XV, Unified Development Review, of Appendix B, Land Development and Subdivision Regulations.

  • d. Canopies that service gasoline filling stations shall not be considered solar canopies; the addition of solar panels on the roof of such a structure shall be regulated under section 4 of this article.
